As part of our commitment to education within the fabricating and welding industry, and our close relationship with Northumberland College, this month saw the addition of new apprentice Stan join us here at Eminent Engineering.
Since the start of the month Stan has mainly been shadowing some of our most experienced Eminent Engineering Ltd team members. During this time a number of tasks and projects have enabled him to observe the team making metal trays and marking out from engineering drawings. Furthermore, Stan has observed metal cutting processes using various operations.
Over the next few weeks we will see Stan work under supervision to further his knowledge in fabrication and welding. Feedback so far from peers regarding our newest fabricating and welding apprentice comment on his excellent attitude to learning; how well he has took on board health and safety; and good house keeping practices. Stan has also completed an in-house abrasive wheel course, and watched several of our fabricator welders perform daily tasks in which he will be involved in further along his apprenticeship.
Speaking to Stan about his time so far at Eminent Engineering, he said “I have really enjoyed being here. I have especially enjoyed the fabrication based lessons and observations. It has been great to be exposed to various different things.
